When it comes to flats, I e'er seem to lean more than towards uncomplicated shoes. I like to take shoes that can be worn with different outfits, maximizing the wear I get out of them. However, there are times when I wish I had a shoe that had more pizzazz. You know, a pair that you lot tin can wear with a simple outfit and they would really stand up out on their own!
I was recently looking online at some college cease shoes and noticed there were some with pretty sparkly embellishments on them. I fell in love with the wait and wanted to endeavour and effigy out a manner to create this showstopper expect, but without fully transforming my go-with-annihilation shoes. So, I decided to create a rhinestone embellished shoe prune! That'due south right a pretty clip that could be added to or removed from my shoes at anytime. Why didn't I think of this earlier?! Just think of all the unlike shoe looks you could create with shoe clips!
Hither's what you'll demand:
- Black felt
- Shoe Clips
- Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun and Gum
- Rhinestone Necklace
- Jewelry Pliers
Step 1: Showtime, you lot will want to take your necklace apart. Use your jewelry pliers to open any jump rings (or eyepins) that might be connecting your necklace together.
Step 2: Once you have taken all pieces of your necklace apart, you will arrange them on your felt. I took three pieces of my necklace to create my shoe clips. I added the center piece with 2 marquise shaped rhinestone on each side. After y'all have landed on your blueprint, add hot mucilage to the back of your components and glue them to your felt.
Step three: Once your glue has dried, catch your scissors and trim effectually your rhinestones. You will want to cut equally shut as you can to your rhinestones so you lot do not see any felt. If y'all discover your rhinestones are not secure after you trim off your backlog felt, add a dab of mucilage to the sides of your rhinestones and glue them together.
Step 4: Have your shoe clip and add hot mucilage to the back of it.
Step five: Glue your shoe clip to the back of your rhinestones. Yous will want to glue it shut to the top of your rhinestone design. If you lot glue your shoe prune to low, it won't open and clip to the top of your shoe properly.
After your glue has dried, your shoe clip is set up to exist added to your pair of shoes!
